It was frustrating and aggravating but it's finally over. We now have our house and we are all settled in. Our friends Todd and Anna came from California to visit last week. We spent three days down in Savannah. It was hot and humid but so much fun!
We went to Tybee Island to play at the beach. I was amazed at how fearless the kids Melodyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03419230702642187363noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18449508.post-23225524446933288272015-06-20T05:33:00.000-07:002015-06-20T05:35:35.909-07:00Moving Part 7 - Our House
This is our house. I love this house so much. I am also amazed at the size of the house compared to our Moreno Valley house. This home with the basement included is 4100 sq ft. That is almost 3 times the house we had in Moreno Valley. For just about the same price we sold that house for.

Part 6 - House HuntingSo now it is January 2 and we are living with my parents. They were great to help us out. I know it was cramped for everyone and it took some getting used to but I appreciate them so much! Wally our cat went to live with Katie and we brought Molly the dog to my parents with the kids and I. But this was only going to be for 6 weeks at the most! Life Apart - Car AccidentLife without Jim was quite an adjustment. It definitely took some getting used to. He stuffed his Chevy Volt as full as it would get, put his bike on the back and drove off into the sunrise with his sister on Oct 2, 2014.
There was quite the learning curve. It was a struggle for both of us on either end of the spectrum. He struggled because he was lonely and he missed us. (That was a feat in and of itself. House always has to be put together and look nice.) The house listed Sept 2nd. We knew Jim would be moving Oct 2nd so we were hopeful that it would sell quick. We had an offer right away but it turned out they couldn't qualify for the house with the HERO program lien.

The decision was made and I had to get our house ready to be listed. I really had fun staging the house and taking pictures for the listing. We were hopeful it would sell quickly.

He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am so grateful that he's mine and that he decided to stick it out with me all these years.
He is an amazing dad. He is so awesome with our kids and I learn things from him everyday.
He is a wonderful husband. He does so much for me. He loves me in spite of me. Back Story:
We've had a long last couple of days. Saturday night we went to a friends house and the kids didn't go to bed until almost 10:30 which is way past bed time. Then yesterday we went to my parents house and they played with a bunch of their cousins. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. (I even decorate my BATHROOM lol) I couldn't skip doing a Halloween post. I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but I am working on it. Here is Ben carving his pumpkin.
Ellie was content to watch. She thought scooping out the pumpkin guts was "disgusting"
Will was having fun running around the driveway.

Quite a while ago I came across the book The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. (I thought I wrote a whole blog post on this a couple years ago but it seems I didn't.) Well I came across it again recently and decided to retake the assessment (especially since I have no idea what I got last time)
Here is a quote from the website that kind of explains the Love Language concept.

My husband really is an amazing man. I grew up with all the same dreams most little girls have. Marry a prince, have lots of babies, live happily ever after. Thats the way things work isn't it? Well my husband may not be a prince in the technical sense of the word (Unless he is and he's just hiding all those untold riches, which means we need to have a LONG talk ;) ) But he is my Prince Melodyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03419230702642187363noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18449508.post-28524443041250017942012-10-20T10:01:00.001-07:002012-10-20T10:02:47.619-07:00Life gets in the wayI've been wanting to start up blogging again but then I either:

One of my main questions when the twins were born was always "Does it get easier?" I remember people would stop me when I was out with all of the kids and they would say "I have twins too!
