Help me!!

As some of you already know, and I will be the first to admit, my homemaking skills are more on par with Roseanne
than they are with Martha Stewart.
I'm trying to do better. I'm tired of my family eating box meals. Don't get me wrong I love me some good old mac n' cheese
but you can only feed it to your family so many times before they threaten bodily harm refuse to eat it. Here's where you come in. I need to beg/grovel ask for your help. I'm looking for recipes. Cheap, easy, tasty recipes (bonus points if Ben will eat it, but that is hit or miss) I'm willing to post all the recipes for everyone to enjoy. Please either email them to me at tiggrrl72077@msn.com or you can post them as a comment.

P.S. I guess I can be proud that my homemaking skills are still above Peg Bundy

I love to cook and I'm a huge advocate of everyday food magazine. It's $15 for 10 issues per year. The recipes are easy, fast, good, and do everything to cut out fat and calories without sacrificing taste. The ingredients are things you would normally buy. They plan out a weekly menu and give you a grocery list. In that weekly menu, they'll do things like "cook two pounds of pork. set aside one pound for thursday's meal." You can get all of the recipes online at everydayfoodmag.com without a subscription, but I think it's worth it to get the issues. They'll group recipes together, like a grilling issue or how to cook Thanksgiving. The mag also covers basic cooking methods like grilling or how to make the best waffles ever. It features a seasonal ingredient each month and will give you recipes to go with them, like pomegranates, artichokes, herbs, etc. I actually sit down a read through each issue and usually mark every other recipe to try.

I'll email you some of my favorite recipes soon and I've posted a few on my completely chelsea blog. Look at the tag "Tasty Treats."

Chelsea - I checked out that magazine a little. It was awesome. I bookmarked it so I could go through it more when I had some extra time.

Abby - Great ideas.I do know how to make most of those but I have no idea what Hawaiian Haystacks are. :) I'll get pics of the scrapbook.

Alisha - I'd love to get the recipes for
chicken stuffing casserole
taco salad
chicken alfredo pasta
rice bowls (with veggies, and chicken and terriyaki sauce over)
(the others I think I know how to cook. Key word - THINK)

Tami - I can't wait! Let me know which ones work.

Thank you girls so much! I knew I could count on you. My family will thank you.

Hah! Oops, I didn't see what you wrote about the Hawaiian Haystacks till now. You just cook some rice and layer it with a mix of shredded cooked chicken mixed with cream of chicken soup (and make it however thick/thin/spiced you like) and then top it with cheese, tomatoes, green onions, crushed pineapple, and chow mein noodles (the crunchy kind you use for green bean casserole).
